12 Days of Anime: Cosplay Spotlight (Day 11)
Another thing I find myself talking about often is my love for cosplay. I am a firm believer, that cosplay is for everyone. We as a community should celebrate that because we have that in common. So in conjunction with the 12 Days of Anime, I would like to take the time to share some of my favorites up and coming Cos-Stars.

I met Blu at AnimeNext over the summer and then again at J1-Con. She’s crazy ambitious and once she finds her lane, I fell like the sky’s the limit. On top of cosplay, she’s a journalist, actress, and woman about her grind. So go show her some love.
Louie Jr. a.k.a Latin Nerd Cosplayer is definitely one to watch. I had the opportunity to interview him earlier this year and he’s a pretty cool guy. I love how he uses his love for cosplaying as a means to give back. Visiting children in the hospital or attending community events to brightening there day. It’s really commendable.
Lady Lo a.k.a Sailor Melanin is a cosplayer who wears her skin proudly. She’s unapologetically herself and I love that. I’m always curious to see what she does next. This Left Eye cosplay above is the high level of content you can expect.

Swaggy’s page is walking nostalgia. But I think my favorite thing about him as a cosplayer is his cross-over cosplays. He’s had some really clever combinations and Ghost Spider is one of my favorites. So definitely feel free to check him out.
Snowkid is a cosplayer I came across during a Convention Masquerade. Her costumes are clever and well made. She also takes really fun pictures. It’s nice to see what she’s cooking up, so be sure to check her out.
Talynn is an amazing cosplayer with twelve years under her belt. She is also an advocate for equality in life and in all things nerdy. She’s empowering and I enjoy watching her shake things up.
Stardust Megu is a cosplayer you definitely want to check out. Her cosplays are well done, photos are fun and she’s just an overall badass in terms of cosplay. So check her out.
Double J Cosplay is a cosplayer I’ve just recently come across. His costumes are well put together, his pictures are fun and I’ve really been enjoying what I’ve seen so far. I followed after seeing his take on Beast Boy but his genderbent Mulan is hands down my favorite.
There you have it. Here is my list of Cosplayers you need to keep a look out for.
