Wanted episode 1 (Korean Drama)

Wanted is South Korean drama which aired on SBS during the Summer of 2016.
Jung Hye-in (Kim Ah-joong  is a actress in her prime  After filming a recent project she decides that she to go into retirement. After her son is kidnapped, Jung Hye-in is forced to participate in new program in order to get him back.

Initially I really liked the idea.  It was different then what I’m used to seeing on American Tv.  But at the same time, it is the kind of drama that I’ve come to expect in a K-drama.
The episode definitely keep me engaged but I don’t know if it was because it was actually that compelling to or rather before I watched it with the intentions to write this post.  I still enjoyed it none the less.
But after sitting around and thinking about what I just watched.  Wanted is fuck-ery.
And what I mean by that is, the idea behind the story is utterly foul. The person who kidnapped her son is someone very close.  Her son was literally kidnapped for the sake of forcing her back into acting. People do all types of things for money. That doesn’t surprise me but at the same time, how could you stoop so low?
I have a feeling her baby father is behind this. Or at least, knows something of it.  Dude is the get what he wants by any means type. He’s cold and calculated. As shit, I might add based on his conversation with his Hyung. Then this fool has the nerve to offer him taxi money like that’s going make up for anything. It’s probably too soon to tell but at this moment my money is on him.
Something else I found interesting besides her dream induced premonition of her son being kidnapped. Was how her role pooled into her real life.  She went from being physical kidnapped to being controlled after her kid was kidnapped. The irony uncanny.
I also wonder how all of this ties in with the teenage internet personality who was kidnapped.
I guess I’ll have to just wait and see.
