Getting to know SDE: Question 3 of 15

In your own words, what is the meaning behind your company name?

Getting to know SDE. Our 2nd-year Anniversary Celebration: Question 3

Drey: I want to break down what I like about our company name. We Soulcial Dreamin’ Entertainment, are an entertainment company so that explains itself. Soulcial is a play on the word social, I like that the spelling includes soul because of how deep that word is for me. Soul means the spiritual or immaterial part of a human being or animal, regarded as immortal. So I said all that to say Soulcial Dreamin’ means immortal dreams, our souls continue to carry our dreams throughout the universe.

Lizzo: As Drey said, Soulcial is a play on Social. And to piggyback off of what she said. Soulcial Dreamin’ Ent. is a manifestation of our vision. Essentially, our dreams brought to life. Rather than taking conventional means to get where we want to be. We’ll carve our own paths Get there in a way we see fit. And while we mean business we”ll have fun along the way. I like to think of SDE as a movement. We practice what we preach. On the flip side, our name can be taken literally. Meaning Soulcial Dreamin’ aka dreaming on a social scale. So in other words, sharing our dreams with the world.

Alice: Our company name means to me is everything Drea and Lizzo said and more. The Soulcial symbolizes how much effort and life we put into our work not only with ourselves but with the connections we make with the people around us. We are all spiritually connected with our love and our passions for our hobbies and develop new bonds with every person we meet. The Dreamin’ part shows how far we want to reach and pursue our dreams until we all reach the stars. We all work and grind hard so we can all achieve our dreams. With all our input this is how our company name came to be.

Appreciate it. I can’t speak for drey and Alice but at least for me, the meaning didn’t come until after the name was cemented and I had time to nourish the concept. It’s grown
