My journey as to becoming an audio professional started around 6 or 7 years ago.  For the last five years, I’ve actually been able to produce professional quality content.  And even though, I’ve come such as long way,  I am still learning. Aside from using sites like Gear Sluts and Pure Mix as resources, I enjoy watching video tutorials from other professionals.  One of my favorite channels to watch being Nerds With Passports.

From microphone and interface reviews.  To tips on choosing the right  Daw (Digital Work Station) for you. They even have tips on enhancing your drum patterns. I myself, don’t make beats but you’d be surprised how many other things you could apply similar techniques to in the future.  Beat making sessions.

They even have videos that cover mixing.

And while I’m pretty confident in my ability to do these things in my sleep. Watching the way others go about the process is pretty dope. Every engineer I’ve come across has their own way of doing things.  So like most things it comes down to preference.

But having the proper tools at your disposal can make all the difference.
