Press Play: Bobby Feeno – Flamingo & Koval

Arian Foster is a former Texan Football Player that pursued his love for music. Arian retired from Football in 2016 after suffering a lower-body injury. I first ran across Arian when he was promoting his new album under his stage name Bobby Feeno. His appearance on Desus & Mero (The Brand is Brolic!) Show on Viceland was the start of it all.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Soundtrack

This soundtrack that accompanied the now award-winning animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. I got the chance to watch the movie in December with Lizzo. The movie itself was a great experience that I went and saw it again. Sony really knocked this project out the park. The movie and soundtrack go hand in hand especially after meeting Miles Morales you can see him listening to this whole album.

12 Days of Anime: Favorite Japanese Snacks

Adobe_Post_20181213_2141021.jpg

I love a good snack to munch on throughout the day. I usually buy Japanese snacks from my local supermarket that has a handful of options. If I’m in Manhattan I would stop by a supermarket in China Town. I also used to order off a Japanese snack website that shut down a year or two ago. Cons are usually when I rack up on snacks. I now use a new website I want to introduce to you all if you wanted to order Japanese Snacks that aren’t around you locally.

Adobe_Post_20181213_2141021.jpg

Music is a big part of my life and I listen to music just about every day and it’s usually the same songs I love and when a new album drops. 2018 has been a solid year for music and I usually listen to everything. I fall in love with an artist when I listen to a full body of their work. This post will be my top 10 albums I loved this year. I still have a lot of these songs in my daily rotation. I will link albums to their Spotify page so if you’re interested in listening. Continue reading

12 Days of Anime: Favorite AMVs of 2018

Adobe_Post_20181213_2141021.jpg

I thought I’d share some AMVs I’ve seen this year. I liked the creativity these AMV creators have as well as some of the songs link so well with the anime. I haven’t seen some of these anime series but I do know about them. AMVs are some of the coolest things to make because of the time it takes for some to sync the clips to go with the music.

12 Days of Anime: Flavors of Youth

Adobe_Post_20181213_2141021.jpg

I’ve been on Netflix more than I’d like to admit. Flavor of Youth is three short films about three different people and their lives. The three short stories go over love, self-doubt, and relationships. I really enjoyed each film for the messages I got from them. The films are Hidamari no Choshoku (The Rice Noodles), Chiisana Fashion Show (A Little Fashion Show), and Shanghai Koi (Love in Shanghai).

12 Days of Anime: My Top 5 Songs of The Year

Adobe_Post_20181213_2141021.jpg

I wanted to make a post about a genre of music that I love but then I decided why not make a post about the song I keep on repeat. I have a daily rotation playlist on Tidal and I add and subtract songs all the time. I usually make playlists for myself depending on what mood I’m in. I love music a big part of my life sadly I can’t hold a tune or play any instruments YET! Music is still apart of my life and I love what I love.

12 Days of Anime: My Favorite Superhero

Adobe_Post_20181213_2141021.jpg

My favorite superhero is the one and only Hawkgirl. I was first introduced to Hawkgirl in Justice League animated series. I adore her, because of her strong personality and confidence. The way she was portrayed on this animated show made me look into the comics she was featured in. Looking for Hawkgirl features in comics started my love for comics and it made me start reading them more often.

12 Days of Anime: Netflix’s Godzilla: City on The Edge of Battle

Adobe_Post_20181213_2141021.jpg

This a continuation of yesterday’s post 12 Days of Anime: Netflix’s Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters. Godzilla: City on The Edge of Battle is part 2 of the series and it was so crazy that I really hope a part 3 comes out next year. I hate cliffhangers and this series really does have a great edge of your seat action then leaves a cliffhanger. Part 3 is going to be even bigger than this movie if Ghidorah shows up.

12 Days of Anime: Netflix’s Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters

Last year I saw Netflix put up yet another original anime in my anime suggestions. I love a good Godzilla movie so when I saw this I had to watch it and see how humans will survive this Godzilla. This is part 1 of the series and it was a great movie. It was a new way I saw the world when Godzilla arrives. The art style is very beautiful and to see Godzilla come to life it’s amazing how everything looks.

Spoilers ahead!
