I attended my first anime convention back in 2007 with my younger cousin and Drey. Since then I’ve attended, two cons per year for the past 11 years up until last year when the number increased quite rapidly in our pursuit to build SDE. Over the years, I watched the convention circuit change in many ways and for those of you who are apprehensive about attending your first con (for whatever reason).
Here is why I think you should attend your first anime convention.
Welcome to day 4 of the 12 Days of Anime and today I will be doing something a bit different. Japan is known for a lot of things. Karaoke, Samurai, Anime, sushi and a ton of other things but aside from all of that they have some interesting commercials. I have to thank Alice for this one but a while back she sent me a YouTube compilation video for Sakeru Gummy. But before I dive into it, check out the video below.
As an avid or casual anime fan you have probably come across an anime episode or special on your journey. While there are tons of random episodes there aren\’t many movies. For my third installment of the 12 Days of Anime, I\’ll be listing five animated movies that suite the occasion.
What’s good, here is my second submission for the 12 Days of Anime. The topic for today is Netflix’s Cowboy Bebop Live Action. I spoke on my thoughts and expectation for the up and coming project. Continue reading →
To kick off the 12 Days of Anime I decided to go with something slightly different. I create a list of my favorite music videos from 2018. Many have an anime esque vibe and others are just visually stimulating.
As always, I’m late to the party but the new DLC roster for Tekken 7 has fallen into my lap and I’m hyped as a motherfucker- I repeat hyped as a motherfucka. Tekken is one of my favorite gaming franchises and has been since I first laid my hands on Tekken 3 back early 2000’s.
Anime NYC was lit! We were planning to end Con Season with a bang and we did that! So where do I begin? Oh yeah, Shout out to Naja of Nice Job Breaking It, Hero. We got a chance to link up for while on Sunday while she attended the con as well. Seems like Anime NYC is a meeting ground for me and my blogging friends but be sure to check her out if you haven’t. While at Anime NYC, I attended quite a few panels but one of my favorites took place on Sunday Afternoon, The Blerds in Geekdom. Hosted by Hilton George the Founder of Blerdcon, other panelist include DJ Taylor-Senpai, Jacqueline-Elizabeth Cottrell of Noir Caesar which is a creative agency and cosplayer Xero Gravity.
The final con of the season is finally here, I’m excited but exhausted at the same time. We’ve covered so much in the past few months and we’re planning to end this season with a bang. The major question on my mind and hopefully yours as well is, what does Anime NYC have in store this year?
