I decided that I would do an anime poem for National Poetry Month and make it a challenge. Anyone can participate the only terms are you write a poem based upon a anime you have seen and give us some detail of what anime you are writing about. The poem can be written in any format and style. I thought this would be a fun thing to do and I would love to read other people’s anime poems. Anyone can feel free to tag me. My poem I decided to do was based on Future Dairy’s Gasai Yuno and School Days’s Kotonoha Katsura. I decided to write my poem based on the thoughts of a Yandere. I hope you read and enjoy and I would love to read other people’s poems as well so please tag me when you post. Thank you.
This is the last woman in our 31-day challenge we decided on Kyoko Mogami from Skip Beat! and we’ll each write what we love about her. This was a fun challenge and kind of tough when it came down to making the choices since there are so many amazing women in media to choose from.
The Marvel Universe date as far back as the 1939. And over the years, many of our favorite character stories have been expounded on.,reiterate and also revamped. With that being said., my next nomination goes to Riri Williams, a.k.a Iron Heart.
Konata is one of my favorite characters ever and I’ve mentioned her a few times in past posts. This young lady is my day 29 choice because she’s goofy and lazy, I don’t see many characters like her in movies or anime so it’d be a good start for many to take note that having someone many women can relate to since were all interested in different things.
The best for last I chose my favorite and most inspiring character is Sora Naegino from Kaliedo Stage a very inspiring anime. The story focuses on Sora and her trials and tribulations in following her dream to becoming a Kaleido Star. Sora was inspired to become a Kaliedo Star after seeing the production of Alice In Wonderland. Sora’s parents passed away when she was very young and was raised by her aunt and uncle. Sora arrived to America to the try out’s and auditioned to become a Kaliedo Star. Sora along the way to the place encounters Kalos Eldos who felt that their was something special about Sora. Sora while meeting Kalos her bag gets stolen and she does amazing acrobatics to retrieve her bag only to be caught by the police officer Jerry and she told him of her purpose of applying to the audition. Jerry takes Sora to the Kaliedo Stage and encounters Layla Hamilton and she rejects Sora. Sora did not give up and saved a performer during a performance and was allowed to perform and audition again. Sora prevails and encounters the Fool the Spirit of the stage who guides her to her dream.
You’ve probably noticed this by now but I have a huge Marvel bias. Drey more of a DC girl and Alice has more of anime bias. So because of this, I tried really hard to balance out my choices but to be honest. I don’t think I really did.
But today nomination goes out to America Chavez a.k.a Miss America. The first Latin American from the LGBT community to headline her own Comic. Continue reading →
Sailor Jupiter from the hit anime series Sailor Moon is probably one of my earliest girl crushes since Sailor Moon was one of the first shows I watched that introduced me to anime. Makoto Kino (Lita Kina in the English adaption) is her name and she’s my favorite sailor scout. I liked Makoto first because she was the green scout and green is my favorite color then as I watched the show and saw what powers she inherited as a Sailor Scout, I liked her even more since she was the “muscle” one of the group. Makoto powers are Electrokinesis, Phytokinesis, Expert martial artist, Superhuman strength, speed, and agility.
