Naruto: Age of Anarchy
Naruto: Age of Anarchy was written and illustrated by Komal Ashfaq a Pakistani artist. Age of Anarchy volume one was first released on August 23, 2010 via her Komalash Deviant Art Page. The story follows Naruto and the rest of the Konoha 11 in early adulthood. Approximately, Three years after the Third Shinobi War. With an impending war is on the horizon.
While there are some similarities with the Canon endings, Age of Anarchy is AU (Alternate Universe) with a ninja verse settings. Naruto is Hokage and also married to Hinata. Sakura’s is now Anbu and Sasuke is the village’s prisoner. The best part, Neji is still alive.
Ashfaq seems to have a good grasp of each character’s personality. Interesting enough, while they feel familiar and in tune with Kishimoto vision. You are able to see first hand, the effects of The Third Shinobi War and how it changed each of them. In that aspect, this story has pretty dark overtone. Taking this into consideration, it should be! War and shinobi life is not for the faint of heart.
Aside from that, I prefer some of these character designs over Canon. Sakura hair and outfit is far more appealing here. Rock Lee body build looks how it should. His insane training regime reflects physically. For an amateur artist, she did a pretty good job.
There a few other things that I really liked but I’m not trying to avoid spoilers.
