Sam & Bill is a comedy music duo that I’ve never heard of until I checked out the Liberty City Anime Con guest list and came across Sam & Bill. I watched a few videos and honestly this has to be an 18+ event at LCAC, just off the comedy videos they have on their youtube. This will be a first for me to sit in a comedy music act with this type of content and judging from the videos they are pretty funny. Sam & Bill remind me of Lonely Island, it’s a similar concept on the music part but completely different which makes me want to check them out. I love Lonely Island and I’m pretty interested now to check Sam & Bill out and see what they will do for LCAC. Continue reading
This is the last day of AnimeNEXT and it’s really been a blast we have so much content to push out that we hope you guys think about coming out to Atlantic City for next year’s AnimeNEXT. This weekend has been a never-ending fun filled con full of cosplayers, events, and games. I’ve said this before there is so much space the elbow room is so amazing and AnimeNEXT always has something going on so finding things to do is an easy part but this year felt like there were so many choices that picking where to go will be the hardest part.
I can’t express how tired I am of seeing black death on my screens. I can’t seem to escape seeing a video of someone killing a Black Person, it’s even shown on the news on replay every hour. I am a Childish Gambino fan and I have to say this music video was disappointing to watch. I listened to the song before watching the video and I liked the song before the video but now I can’t stand to hear it. If you’re on the internet you will end up watching it because everyone is sharing the video, screenshots, memes and think pieces breaking down every meaning of the video. I wonder if it still okay to mention the triggers this video may contain for some people even though it has well over 72 Million views which means there’s a chance you saw the video already and was introduced to the chaotic scenes of death, massacre, suicide and chaos all while black people dance in the foreground.
The Rock has yet another action blockbuster under his belt and it’s a movie about characters from one of our favorite childhood video game Rampage. I got the chance to see a advance screening of the movie earlier this week with Alice and have to say it was a short movie but the action picked up quicker than I thought. Although I have some mixed feelings about the movie not giving the other characters from the game more screentime I did enjoy the movie because of the characters and their witty banter with eachother.
Yaku a.k.a Yakuyabai is Youtuber Entertainer from Houston Texas. Currently, living in San Francisco California in pursuit of her dreams. The Yakuyabai Channel is a hub for culture, comedy and overall randomness. After coming across his channel randomly, earlier this year. I really wanted to pick his brain.
New York City is a pretty big place. But if you run around in certain circles, you’re very likely to come across the same people. That was how I came to know Avery Liburd, formerly known as Avery Li or DarkShonobi on YouTube where we first met. I’m not sure if he remembers or not but when we ran into each other randomly in Midtown Manhattan, where we exchanged pleasantries and introduced ourselves. Thinking about it now, it’s kind of hilarious. Back then Youtube wasn’t the beast that it is now. That was how we connected, so it made perfect sense. And while it wasn’t the most interesting or awkward situation that I’ve encountered when randomly meeting people I talked to online, it definitely struck a chord. Fast forward a few years later, I now I have this platform. It’s important to return the love that was shown to you from way back.
“We build together”
When I reached out, here is what he had to say.
