In the past two years, I’ve had the opportunity to interview some pretty amazing people.  I normally, provide a little anecdotal story detailing our introduction.  While I can’t recall our initial encounter, I know it was definitely via YouTube.  Out of all the interviews, I’ve done, this hands down feels the most personal.  This is someone I’ve admired. This is someone I’ve learned from.  This is someone who’s looked out for me wanting nothing in return.  This is someone I consider a friend.

Nerds and Nerdettes,  Meet Michelle Simon aka Sang Frais

I found out about this game via, Nice Job Breaking It, Hero, a anime blog I follow.  On her recommendation, via the blog post.  This story caught my attention and I decided to give it a whirl.

Artistic Expression with Takeia Marie

takeia_marie
My first encounter with Takeia Marie happened randomly while attending New York Comic Con back 2012.  A rap cipher gone wrong in the middle of the artist alley show floor. She nice with the pen in more ways than one. She can spit.  And even though I embarrassed myself, it made that experience that much more memorable.  How many people can honestly say that they met in this type of manner at Comic Book convention. Not many! But we’ve been chopping it up ever sense.
So when I reached out for an interview.  This is what she had to say.

Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger

If you haven’t noticed by now,  I am a fan of Marvel Comics.  And this Cloak & Dagger series looks like it’s going to be pretty good.  While I’m not familiar with their backstory,  It’s a duo, I’ve heard be bounce around fairly often.

New York Comic Con 2016: Overview

13010-2

New York Comic Con was lite. The team and I had a phenomenal time.  Saw a former Co-worker/friend. Bump into a few other acquaintances. And even brought my baby cousin along for his first convention.  The little guy fell asleep when we sat down to eat lunch on Sunday. Hysterical. He’s not built for the blerd life.  But let’s get right into it.

Day 20: Anime Character that gets on your nerve?

I was talking to Alice. She said” I already know who your gonna pick? Ino” While it’s true that I don’t like Mrs. Yamanaka.  And I haven’t like her for really long time. My hatred for her is minimal.   But this guy “Takumi Ichinose” I hate him with a passion. With ever fiber of my being.  I’m exaggerating! Am I really? I am but I thoroughly hate this motherfucker.

Day 19: Most Epic Scene Ever?

You’ve probably realized this but have a thing for older anime. The most epic scene that comes to mind was in episode six of Fooly Cooly  When Atomsk the Pirate King finally appears. (Possessing Naota)

Day 17: Favorite Supporting Male Character?

My favorite supporting male is Kazuma Kuwabara of Yu Yu Hakusho.  What is there not like about Kuwabara? He’s funny.  He kicks ass. He has amazing spiritual awareness and he’s a rider. A man of his word. He’s the type of person that puts his all into everything.  Word is bond. That’s admirable.  All these quality make him a  great choice.
