Music is a big part of my life and I listen to music just about every day and it’s usually the same songs I love and when a new album drops. 2018 has been a solid year for music and I usually listen to everything. I fall in love with an artist when I listen to a full body of their work. This post will be my top 10 albums I loved this year. I still have a lot of these songs in my daily rotation. I will link albums to their Spotify page so if you’re interested in listening. Continue reading
When at any anime convention the cosplay contest is always a must to check out and see what everyone participating has worked so hard to complete. Cosplayers are one of my favorite parts of every convention I go to, the completed work is always so amazing to see. Seeing people bring a character to life is the peak of seeing cosplayers do what they love. Continue reading
Continuing the Black Panther trend with Nakia played by Lupita N’yongo. Nakia in the Black Panther movie is the love interest of T’Challa/Black Panther/King of Wakanda, I was extremely excited to see that Nakia was cast as a Dark Skin Black women (you know how Hollywood works) and it felt so good to finally see a positive image of dark skin Black Women for a change that I still can’t contain my joy. Shuri is another character that I loved in Black Panther comics and The Marvel movie. Letitia Wright did this character justice, Shuri is my favorite because of her personality and how she’s kept the sibling relationship strong and fun with T’Challa. Their relationship aspect is so beautiful in the movie that I really applaud Shuri for keeping up her adorable personality after losing her father.
The one and only Danai Gurira play as Okoye in Black Panther, This will be about Okoye as much as possible because of the love I have for the character before the movie. Danai’s performance was so amazing bringing Okoye to life that at this point I don’t think I’ll ever become tired of seeing her beautiful face everywhere. Continue reading

With all the excitement surrounding Black Panther which is debuting in theaters this weekend, it feels like we’ve been waiting forever for a black superhero movie. Now that it’s finally happening especially during black history month I don’t know if next year can top it. Black people as a whole have been lighting up social media about Black Panther since his MCU appearance in Captain America: Civil War. We’ve been blessed again with another gift and that is The Black Panther Album. The album had high anticipation since it was announced that Kendrick Lamar was producing it with Anthony Tiffith. I have to say this album really did meet expectations after listening to it a few times. With the growing momentum around the Black Panther movie, I’m pretty sure there is going to be negative reactions towards this album because of the artists on the album but overall it turned out better than I expected it to. The album has great replay value and introduced me to a few new artists I’ve never heard before. Continue reading
This movie has been out for 3 weeks now and I’m just seeing it after all the hype has died down and I have to say I did enjoy the parts where Black Panther made it on screen. All the fighting scenes we’re the best parts other than that the story didn’t really do anything for me because it literally took this long for someone to FINALLY call out superheros for destroying cities and killing innocent civilians. That was long overdue, it should have been said long ago. Continue reading
