Anime Fest @ NYCC 2018 Expectations

This year will be the first year of a new anime convention in New York, the Anime Fest  (which is collaborative venture between NYCC and Anime Expo ).  In years prior, there was a separate anime convention that was hosted with New York Comic Con but, over the years they fused together and became one convention that enveloped the entire Jacob Javits Center.

This year attendees have the option to purchase tickets to Anime Fest and/or New York Comic Con but the conventions this year will be held in two different locations. I will be attending both conventions, this year and  I can not wait to experience what both conventions have to offer.

Cowboy Bebop: The 20th Anniversary Binge Sessions

The iconic anime Cowboy Bebop has reached its 20th Anniversary.  Anime NYC in conjunction with New York Asian Film Festival presents a special event. As part of Quad Cinemas One Shot series, on Sunday April 22, Cowboy Bebop  will air in its entirety.

At this point, in my blogging life, I think I’ve made my love for music and animation pretty clear. So anytime, they come together and further enhance each other story, I’m utterly excited.  I’ve been going to conventions for many years now and I have been seeing an influx of panels that combine these different narratives. Day 14: Anime that never gets old no matter how many times you rewatched it?

There are a few animes I love to pieces. And Cowboy Bebop is one of them. I’ve been watching this show going on 15 years now. And there is never a dull moment. Spike is cool as ish. Edward is hysterical.  Faye is Faye and Jet is that guy.  Of course, how could I forget the data dawg Ein. She and Ed are like tw peas in a pod.
