I thought I’d share some AMVs I’ve seen this year. I liked the creativity these AMV creators have as well as some of the songs link so well with the anime. I haven’t seen some of these anime series but I do know about them. AMVs are some of the coolest things to make because of the time it takes for some to sync the clips to go with the music.
This is Jay Park’s long-awaited Roc Nation Debut EP and I have to say it’s better than I thought it would be. I’m actually surprised I like every song on this EP which isn’t something that happens often enough with albums I listen to. Jay Park really brought his A+++ game with this project from the beats to the features this EP is a great way to introduce new people to Jay Park and expand his fan base further.
Late last year, we posted an interview titled: Capturing Emotion with Avery Liburd where we touched on some pretty interesting topics. Now Avery is back with a new song called Sametime Produced by Pax and directed by Avery, himself and Jiwon Choi. So let’s dive right in. Continue reading →
I can’t express how tired I am of seeing black death on my screens. I can’t seem to escape seeing a video of someone killing a Black Person, it’s even shown on the news on replay every hour. I am a Childish Gambino fan and I have to say this music video was disappointing to watch. I listened to the song before watching the video and I liked the song before the video but now I can’t stand to hear it. If you’re on the internet you will end up watching it because everyone is sharing the video, screenshots, memes and think pieces breaking down every meaning of the video. I wonder if it still okay to mention the triggers this video may contain for some people even though it has well over 72 Million views which means there’s a chance you saw the video already and was introduced to the chaotic scenes of death, massacre, suicide and chaos all while black people dance in the foreground.
KickFlamez is a Rapper, videographer and visionary from Huntsville Alabama. Alike many of the artist I’ve spotlighted via this platform, he is a contemporary nerd core artist. The influence of Anime, Gaming and other nerd related topics are prevalent in his artistry. Not just musically but it’s represented visually as well.
Flamez and I, talk often and usually when he drops something major he asks me for feedback. Instead of just telling him out right what I think. He’ll have read this time and find out for himself.
Hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan. FrivolousShara is Femcee and producer (composer) to look out for. As of late, she’s been cranking out a ton of music and out of all the new songs, Dandelion Magic for me stood at the forefront. Continue reading →
Love & Life, The Album, was released both physically and digitally in February 2012. Korean RapperDok2, in this project, showed a different side of himself. His Moniker which is now Young King Young Boss, came into fruition releasing his first solo album under Illionaire Records.
After two failed attempts, we came up with a system that works. A few months back, an idea popped up in my head for a music series to accompany everything else we’ve been pushing out. We’ll call them Soulcial Shorts.
When F(X) officially debut back 2009, I fucked wit them. As time passed, and the way the K-Pop industry works, with the influx of boy and girl bands that would follow. F(X) sort of faded into the background.
