Subs vs. Dubs

svd

In the battle of subs vs dubs, subtitled anime was the best way to go. From issues with censorship to lacking voice actors and bad translations.  Dubs had it all.  Bad lip sync to confusing plot changes that go against canon guidelines.

While the licensing companies have gotten a lot better over the years. Most fans still prefer subtitled anime. Continue reading

Knight’s & Magic

Image result for knights and Magic

Imagine you died and was reborn living out your Otaku fantasy building giant robots and had magic powers well in this anime it happened. The story is every Mecha Otaku’s dream which is to build your own Mecha. Knight’s & Magic is a funny and ironic anime series. I am a huge Mecha fan so this anime really stood out to me because it was a combination of all my favorite genre’s in one. I was curious on how the anime incorporate magic with Mecha.  The Mecha’s in this anime share a similarity to the same one in the Gundam series which I loved. The anime series is a fun show to watch. The main character Ernesti is not only cute and adorable but, a major Mecha Otaku in the inside. He is only one true love is the robots not the girls who throw themselves at him.

3 Anime Character Challenge (Tag)

GC

The three character tag challenge has been floating around the internet for a while now. And as usual, I am late to the party but don’t fret my friends. In the words of Korean American singer Jay Park, I got this.  All jokes aside, I was inspired to take a crack at it after reading Aria Cross’ own attempt. That was back in June, and I am just now getting around to it.

Challenge:  Pick three anime characters that remind you of yourself and tag people to participate.  For the sake of the post, I will elaborate on why these characters are reflective of my personality.

Soulcial Dreamin’ Entertainment was invited to attend Liberty City Anime Convention in New York at the Marriott Marquis hotel.  The hosting space was so much bigger this year compared to last. They even extended it to another site, the Edison Ballroom, where the main events (Masquerade)  and the concerts were held. At night they hosted anime dance parties headed by Rabbit Revolution. This year the convention had plenty of panels, video games, voice actors, concerts and anime screenings. We were able to get an insider’s view of the convention while having a great time.

New York Comic Con 2016: Overview

13010-2

New York Comic Con was lite. The team and I had a phenomenal time.  Saw a former Co-worker/friend. Bump into a few other acquaintances. And even brought my baby cousin along for his first convention.  The little guy fell asleep when we sat down to eat lunch on Sunday. Hysterical. He’s not built for the blerd life.  But let’s get right into it.

Day 30: Anime You Wished Never Ended

Day 30: An Anime you wished Never ended and continued on?

Does this literally mean never ended? Or more so an anime that ended before It really should have. If not, I can’t think of any . The anime I love, I love them because of the sense of closure I receive from them.  The entire span made them somewhat timeless for me.

An anime I feel should have never ended. I can think of a ton but my choice is Air Gear.

Day 14: Anime that never gets old no matter how many times you rewatched it?

There are a few animes I love to pieces. And Cowboy Bebop is one of them. I’ve been watching this show going on 15 years now. And there is never a dull moment. Spike is cool as ish. Edward is hysterical.  Faye is Faye and Jet is that guy.  Of course, how could I forget the data dawg Ein. She and Ed are like tw peas in a pod.

Day 10: Favorite Fighter Anime?

My favorite fighter anime is Yu Yu Hakusho.  I legit-Ly loved everything about this anime. The story line.  Character designs and overall dynamic between said characters. This series altered the way I lived my life.  This series helped me gain a new vision. And for that, I am forever grateful. And over ten years later, the mere though still puts a smile on my face.  I still find inspiration in it.
