Anime NYC was lit! We were planning to end Con Season with a bang and we did that! So where do I begin? Oh yeah, Shout out to Naja of Nice Job Breaking It, Hero. We got a chance to link up for while on Sunday while she attended the con as well. Seems like Anime NYC is a meeting ground for me and my blogging friends but be sure to check her out if you haven’t. Soulcial Dreamin’ Entertainment attended Anime Fest @ NYCC x Anime Expo (AF@NYCC) at Pier 94. This was the first year AX collaborated with NYCC and their first convention was hosted in New York City. This convention was strictly dedicated to anime and I loved every minute of it. I was able to attend the event on Thursday and Sunday, experience what it was like attending this new anime convention in New York. It turned out to be a fun and unique experience . I attended the How to be a Villain 101 Panel at J1-Con because the title alone grabbed my interest. I wanted to understand the underline of what it took to be a villain, step by step and its process. Being a villain is not easy, there are many things you must do to become a villain and I learned about this in the panel; like having a good name, henchman, entrance music, entering a room, a catchphrase, and finally grabbing the attention of your audience. Every villain is unique in their own way.
This weeks interview is with another person I hold in high regard. I can’t recall our initial encounter either, but we were also introduced via YouTube. For the sake of transparency, it was in the same time I met Sang Frais which makes perfect sense considering he is also a co-founder of Nerds with Passports and 10th Tier Media.
Josh is low-key my mentor. LOL I’ve learned a lot from merely talking to him. So here is the giveback. So without further ado, Meet Joshua Gantt
In the past two years, I’ve had the opportunity to interview some pretty amazing people. I normally, provide a little anecdotal story detailing our introduction. While I can’t recall our initial encounter, I know it was definitely via YouTube. Out of all the interviews, I’ve done, this hands down feels the most personal. This is someone I’ve admired. This is someone I’ve learned from. This is someone who’s looked out for me wanting nothing in return. This is someone I consider a friend.
Nerds and Nerdettes, Meet Michelle Simon aka Sang Frais
