Professor Shyguy is well known for his 8 bit- music, soulful, electro-rocking, theatrical nerd pop music. Most of his songs stem from video games, anime, and time and space. I missed the concert last year and was able to see his performance this year. I came in thier not knowing what type of music I was going to listen to. I thought it was another rock concert but I was wrong. Professor Shyguy really surprised me, he was really good.
Singer-songwriter and producer Chancellor (bandana) recently dropped a new installment to his Chancellor Day Cover project. This one features fellow Singer G.Soul, whom I’ve followed for a number of years.
I was lucky enough to sit in on the Vocaloid panel with Toshihiro Fukuoka, Itto-Maru, and Nao as they discuss Hatsune Miku and her music. In this panel, they discussed the vision behind their own version of Hatsune Miku.
When F(X) officially debut back 2009, I fucked wit them. As time passed, and the way the K-Pop industry works, with the influx of boy and girl bands that would follow. F(X) sort of faded into the background.
Alan Z coined The Fresh Prince of ATL is an artist we’ve interviewed a few months back. This singer-songwriter and Emcee all rolled in one is pretty damn talented. I’ve been looking forward to hearing what else he has to bring to the table.
Hailing from Saint Paul, Minnesota this Salvadorian triple threat is an artist to watch out for. I first came across SΔLVMAKNAE two years ago randomly searching YouTube. It was a video sharing his experience auditioning for SM Entertainment. SM? One of Premier South Korean Record Labels. That caught my attention right away. Afterwards, I proceeded to watch his English cover for TXVQ’s Something. Fast forward two years, he’s growth is quite impressive. Even cooler, he brought his friends along for the ride. Forming a group called WNAX with friends TFR, Dio C and Ezylite being notable members.
I was first introduced to Alan Z randomly while surfing my SoundCloud feed two years ago. I can’t recall my initial reaction but I didn’t bother to keep up afterwards for whatever reason. I’m not even sure if I played any of this covers. It wasn’t until he popped up into my twitter circle a few months back that actually took the time to look into him further. I had the opportunity to interview the Fresh Prince of ATL. And here is what he had to say.
