This weekend is Anime NYC 2018, the second year of Anime NYC and it’s going to be jammed packed with so many amazing guests. Many of the guests are from Japan and that’s what I really like about AnimeNYC, no other convention has a guest list full of the very people who worked on the original projects for the shows we love. I started my journey as an indie creative back 2013. And through my Social Media endeavors, I’ve come across a lot of interesting people. And Cereal Sensei is someone worth mentioning, he is an aspiring writer, podcaster, and fellow blerd. When the opportunity surfaced, I reach out for an interview. We discussed a wide array of topics ranging music to content creation. Nerd culture to the indie struggle.
The J-MUSIC Ensemble is an 8 piece band consisting of drums, keyboard, bass, guitar and a horn section with two trumpets, a trombone, and saxophone. Best described through their slogan: Jazz meets J-Pop. Which essentially, is what they do. Think-polished Jazz musicians, tackling Japanese Popular Music with the horns taking the fore front, at times standing in as substitution for the human voice. Though at times, the human voice is still included because there is nothing quite like it. Overall, bringing a new perspective to the world of Japanese Music.
Hey, what’s good everyone? It’s been a little over a month since we attended Anime Next. Between the three of us, we pushed out a ton content via our website and our other Social media outlets. Videos, pictures and other exclusive releases. (via Twitter and Instagram) So if you aren’t following us, do so because you are missing out. The grind was non-stop that weekend. But it’s Story Time.
Fooly Cooly ( Furi Kuri) is one of the most memorable Anime’s of my childhood. Originally airing on American Television back in 2003. Fast forward, 14 years later and the mere thought still brings a smile to my face. From Naota cynical outlook to Haruko’s Vespa and everything in between, most of all Lord Canti. So when Cartoon Network announced a possible remake, I was in shock but more over confused. In all seriousness, FLCL has everything packed into six episodes. What more could they possibly do? My answer came in the form of a trailer.
Justin Torres (F.K.A Jewlz) is another artist I’ve followed for years now. And while his pen game and beat selections has elevated as he matured, his wittiness has remained the same. Hence why his music always feel familiar even when it’s brand new.
It’s been four years since his last project. On April 20, 2017 his latest project Rose dropped at midnight. I Remeber being the first visual for this mixtape. So let’s get to it.

Youtuber Destorm Powers hosted the Watch Me contest a few years back. This is where I first encountered Kyd Wahlee formerly known as Stamina. I remember being thoroughly impressed by his entry, enough so to look further into his music And here we are years later, under different circumstances.
